The Aurora Winter Festival inspires the festive spirit through magical winter experiences. Escape into a hidden village by the North Pole filled with captivating Christmas light displays and magical characters, and enjoy the market huts, food gardens, amusement rides, live entertainment, and plenty of other exciting activities. From visiting Santa’s Workshop to lacing up your skates on the Frozen Pond, there is something for every age at the Aurora Winter Festival. The festival takes place at Toronto’s Ontario Place, East Island and runs from November 29th to December 30th.

Ontario Place, East Island

Event parking is limited and not guaranteed. On weekends, it is recommended to park at Exhibition Place which can be accessed via Newfoundland Road off of Lakeshore Drive (Parking 3 and 4 located in the map below). Parking can also be found in the Ontario Place parking lots (Parking 1 and 2 located in the map below), but space is limited. If you are planning to consume alcoholic beverages, we recommend finding other means of transportation or planning a safe ride home.

The Aurora Winter Festival can be reached by Lakeshore West GO Line to Exhibition Station, with a complimentary shuttle from the station to the festival (please note: shuttle is only accessible to wheelchairs after 5 PM). The Aurora Winter Festival is located on the grounds of Ontario Place, East Island. We suggest all guests who will be getting dropped off proceed to the centre entrance of Ontario Place for drop offs.

What does my ticket include?
All Aurora Winter Festival tickets include access to the entire festival site including the Mystical Worlds, Santa’s Workshop, The Ice Pond (must bring skates, or rent ours!), access to Main Street Market Vendors and Food Trucks as well as the heated Entertainment Tent.
What are your hours of operation?
The Aurora Winter Festival is open from 4 pm to 10 pm. During the course of the festival there are some days we are not open, and will remain closed on those days. For more information, visit our Tickets page here. If you have selected an 8 pm – 10 pm arrival time slot, please arrive no later than 8:30 pm to ensure you have enough time to explore the festival!
When is the Aurora Winter Festival?
The Aurora Winter Festival runs from November 29th – December 30th. As there are some days we do not operate during the week, please visit our tickets page for all the information.
What can't I bring into the festival?
Entry may be refused if any of the following prohibited items are in your possession: illegal drugs, weapons, firearms, knives/dangerous items, glass (including bottles), alcohol, outside food or beverages unauthorized vending flyers, giveaways, promotional items, pets or other animals (excluding service animals), drones, professional recording equipment.
